Hi, I’m Gina!
I’ve spent 31 years as a speech language pathologist. Because I am constantly aware of what is going on in our schools, I am uniquely qualified to help shape decisions related to education – particularly those of our special-needs students.

Why I’m running
My goal is to build on the success of District 158 while promoting a common-sense approach in the education of all students. I will focus on ensuring that our students become lifelong learners who are back on grade level and will make sure that students are productive citizens and good people.
I have seen education change so much both as a parent and an educator. I want to bring common sense back to education. I will help parents and teachers partner to help students of all abilities be successful in life. This is about our kids’ futures, and the time is now to make positive changes.
We need to get back to the basics of education to help our students learn what they need to in order to be successful, productive citizens. I am not, nor have I ever been a “yes woman.” I look at all sides of an argument and work hard to make decisions that are in the best interest of the students and the community.
I am passionate about our students in special education and will fight to ensure that our most special learners are thriving in school.
Please join me as I seek to make a difference for the students, families, teachers and community in District 158.
